Try French Cooking & Plein Air Painting on Your Culinary Vacation

Cooking In Provence offers culinary vacations for travelers in the United States, Canada, and England. Our French cooking and Plein Air painting classes are taught in English. Our interactive vacations are a feast for the senses in which you will experience the history, views, and flavors of southern France.

Your Experience

Each day cooks will take trips to purchase fresh ingredients from local cheese makers, bakers, and farmers. Painters will travel to appropriate locales to render the landscape. Also, there is plenty of free time each day for sightseeing or shopping excursions.

Your Arrival Day

We take care of all of the vacation package details to make sure your arrival is smooth. Here's what you can expect on arrival:

• Friday afternoon, evening arrival In Nice and Be Met By Karen or John.
• Arrive at the house in Les Arcs sur Argen and settle in for a nap or refresh. Depending on arrival time.
• 7:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m - Light Evening Supper

Daily Activities

Your days include fun activities and free time to enjoy local French culture and the medieval village. You will get to enjoy a typical French breakfast in the big kitchen each morning. Traditional items available include fresh pastries, fruits, yogurts, and much more. After breakfast, you can expect:

• Trips to local markets 
• Visits to wineries and tastings  
• Enjoying area historical sites 
• Visits to San Rafael, St. Tropez and other interesting villages

Additional Activities & Information

On three different days, there will be excursions to local street markets, wineries, or points of interest. On Thursday evening, a farewell dinner is held at Le Logis du Guttier in Les Arcs sur Argens. The dinner is included in your package. Prior to the dinner, you may tour this medieval village. You will be transported back to the Nice airport Friday morning after breakfast.
